As the countdown to Halloween continues, we will be posting daily during the series “5 Days of Halloween” about Halloween cocktails, craft and party ideas, homemade treats and home decor. My favorite cocktail is the MARGARITA!!This recipe is a margarita recipe with a twist found on the HGTV website. Click here for the full article and recipe.

1/4 cup light corn syrup
green food coloring

1/2 cup fresh lime juice
1 cup club soda
3/4 cup tequila
3 ounces triple sec
4 cherries
4 teaspoons maraschino cherry syrup

**Zombie Slime Shooters**

For cocktail:
1 ounce vodka
1 ounce peach schnapps
1 ounce sour apple schnapps
1 ounce coconut rum
1 ounce sweet and sour mixFor blood slime:
3 tablespoons corn syrup
1/2 teaspoon red food coloring

Rim Instructions:

1. Mix corn syrup with red food coloring.
2. Dip the rim of martini glass into the mixture, and slowly spin the glass to coat it.
3. Turn the glass upright and the blood will begin to drip slightly. Set aside.

Cocktail Instructions:

1. Pour all ingredients into a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice cubes.
2. Shake well and pour over ice cubes into slime-rimmed martini glass.

**Caramel Apple Martini**

2 ounces Apple Cider
2 ounces Caramel Vodka
1 ounce Butterscotch Schnapps
Sliced fresh apple, caramel, and / or cinnamon sugar for garnish.

Rim your martini glass with caramel or cinnamon sugar. To get the cinnamon sugar to stick to the glass, dip the rim in a little apple cider, then the cinnamon sugar.
Combine the apple cider, caramel vodka, and butterscotch schnapps in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously.
Pour mixture into the rimmed martini glass and garnish with a slice of fresh apple.

 **Caramel Apple Pie Martini**
2 ounces apple pie vodka

1 ounce kissed caramel vodka
1 ounce Velvet Cinn Horchata
1 ounce half & half
Caramel sauce and crushed graham crackers for garnish
sprinkle of cinnamon (optional)

Rim a martini glass with caramel sauce; then dip the glass in crushed graham crackers. Set aside.
In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine both vodkas, horchata, and half & half. Shake vigorously and pour into prepared martini glass. Add a sprinkle of cinnamon to the top.
**Witches Brew **

2 oz. mixed pineapple and cranberry juice
2 oz. 7-Up or Sprite
1-1/4 oz. shot Malibu Coconut Rum

Mix juices and 7-Up or Sprite in a highball glass. Pour shot of rum down the side of the glass right before drinking.

{Breast Cancer Awareness Week- Pink Cocktail Recipes}

CHAMBORD PINK-TINI {pictured at top}

1 oz Chambord
1.5 oz honey vodka
.5 oz lime juice
3-4 raspberries

Shake ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled martini glass or crushed ice-filled rocks glass. Top with more crushed ice. Garnish with raspberries.


3 cups cranberry juice cocktail

2 cups coconut water
1 1/2 cups pineapple juice
2 cups coconut rum
Garnishes: pineapple wedges, tropical flowers
 MY FAVORITE DRINK…….. The MARGARITA!!! (with a twist)
  • 1.5 oz tequila
  • .5 triple sec
  • Juice of lime wedge
  • 4 oz pink lemonade
  • Splash OJ
  1. First, rim your glass by dipping the top in water or sweetened lime juice then into an equal parts salt + sugar mixture.
  2. For the cocktail, combine all ingredients into a shaker (or a large glass) and mix well.
  3. Pour over ice and voila! Summer Drink Perfection.
